Qatar Airways To Start Flying To Serbia And Poland By End Of 2012

Qatar Airways announced further expansion to its European network with the launch of scheduled flights to Serbia and Poland by the end of the year taking the airline’s coverage across the Continent to 32 destinations.

Services to the previously announced destination of Belgrade, capital of Serbia, have been confirmed for a November 20 start with a thrice-weekly schedule via Ankara. Two weeks later, beginning December 5, the airline will add the Polish capital Warsaw to its rapidly growing European network operating flights four-times-a-week.

News of the expansion follows this week’s announcement by Qatar Airways that it will begin daily flights to Chicago – the carrier’s fourth USA gateway – from April 10 next year. Both the Belgrade and Warsaw routes will be operated from Qatar Airways’ Doha hub with an Airbus A320 configured in two classes – 12 seats in Business and 132 in Economy. Each seat features an interactive audio and video entertainment system offering hundreds of movies, TV programmes and music channels.
Since the beginning of 2012, Qatar Airways has launched flights to Baku (Azerbaijan); Tbilisi (Georgia); Kigali (Rwanda); Zagreb (Croatia), Erbil (Iraq), Baghdad, Perth (Australia) and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania).

SkyWork Airlines with 16 connecting flights

The Berne-based carrier SkyWork Airlines is offering 16 connecting flights on its existing route network. This means for example that SkyWork passengers can travel directly from Belgrade to London City via Berne. Passengers reap the benefit of very short transfer times and routes.

For example, they can fly from Thessaloniki to Cologne or from Split to Berlin-Schönefeld as well as in the reverse direction.
Thanks to the new connecting flights in the current summer flight schedule, SkyWork Airlines customers are able to get to their final destination via Berne, without the hustle and bustle of the big airports. Passengers need not worry about their baggage either – this is automatically reloaded in the correct aircraft in Berne. “This is another consequence of our best cost strategy. We offer our guests attractive connecting flights at fair prices and a stress-free travel experience”, SkyWork Airlines CEO Tomislav Lang sums up. The new connecting flights can be booked on line as of today.
